Equity from the Inside Out
Get the support you need to create a healthy, inclusive, and equity-driven workplace culture. Coaching packages are highly personalized to your needs, budget, and approach.
Had enough of not knowing what to do or say, or where to turn? Feel ashamed or defensive when staff call you out for power imbalances and inequities in the workplace, particularly when they’re related to race? If you’re a White-identified leader, you’re being called to step into your leadership in ways that will transform the workplace and create systemic equity in your organization – ways you didn’t learn about in your MBA.
Get the support you need to create a healthy, inclusive, and equity-driven workplace culture.
The Equity from the Inside Out (EIO) Leadership Coaching Program focuses on leadership and use of power. I’ll help you to do the inner work required to shift your awareness, behaviours, and mindset so that you can build more connection and trust with your team and repair the power imbalances and inequities that exist in your workplace. At the heart of equity-centered leadership is the conscious and intentional use of power. At the heart of a transformed system is doing and distributing power differently.
The EIO Leadership Coaching Program is for you if you:
- Are a White-identified leader
- Are struggling to figure out what to do when it comes to DEI
- Understand your leadership role in creating transformative change in the workplace
- Are ready to do your inner work
Specifically, the EIO Leadership Coaching Program will help you:
- Understand how you’ve been socialized by the system of White Supremacy
- Notice and name harmful patterns, practices, and behaviours in your eco-system and leadership
- Strengthen your emotional literacy
- Understand your triggers doing this work as a White Leader, and learn ways to respond differently
- Deepen your understanding of conscious and effective us of leadership power to create racial equity, and other forms of equity
- Define strategies and actions you can take to build your racial equity muscles and equity-centred leadership
The EIO Leadership Coaching Program provides you with a compassionate space to be with your emotions, your questions, and all of who you are at this moment, while being accountable for your learning and actions.
What you get:
Coaching:
A series of 1:1 coaching sessions geared to your unique leadership development goals. And when something comes up and you need support, I am a phone call or email away.
Leadership Assessment:
I use the Diamond Power Index (DPI), a 360-degree leadership assessment, which is the only one on the market that looks specifically at the effective use of personal power and positional power, shining a light on the critical link between use of power and its impact on organizational outcomes and culture.
We will also add the Inclusion Spotlight. The UK organization, brap, led by Joy Warmington has worked with Julie Diamond to adapt the DPI tool to highlight inclusion, with a focus on race. Results from the DPI will support your coaching and provide insight in how you show up in your leadership of racialized colleagues and what you can do to progress your anti-racist leadership.
We will review your results in the context of other intersections of identity, supporting your overall development as an equity-centred leader.
Your results will be presented in an individual Power Profile® report including actionable insights.
Training resources:
You will get access to training resources, curriculum, and activities that I have authored or co-authored to support coaches and leaders in deep equity and systems change. These resources will be foundational to the work we do.
More resources:
You will also get a list of curated resources – articles, blogs, and research to support your learning.
Embodiment:
I use embodied ways of knowing rooted in awareness-based change methodologies like Social Presencing Theatre. These are powerful and important tools that support leaders in exploring their “stucks” as they become equity-centred leaders. Don’t worry, if this isn’t for you, we’ll use other arts-based strategies.
Coaching packages are highly personalized to your needs, budgets, and learning and development approach. We might work together for 3 months or 12. We might focus on setting a good foundation, or help you though a sticky situation, or do the deepest of dives.
Have questions? Wonder whether this is a good fit for you?

20% of the revenues from this coaching program will be donated to two organizations in London, Ontario. The Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration promotes family safety and wellbeing within the diverse Muslim communities in London and proceeds from these funds will support Muslim girls and women’s leadership through public education and community capacity-building projects. The Inclusive Community Events Program, created in celebration of the remarkable contributions Dharshi Lacey made in the London community, supports equity-denied groups with complimentary meeting and event space at Innovation Works.
